Salvation — By Grace Through Faith
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, offered to all humanity through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that salvation is entirely a work of God's grace, purchased by Christ’s blood, and offered freely to all who believe. It brings forgiveness, reconciliation with God, adoption as children, and the hope of eternal life.
It is not earned by human effort, morality, or religious rituals, but received solely by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on the cross and His resurrection.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9, KJV
The Need for Salvation
All humanity is fallen and sinful by nature and by choice, separated from God and under judgment.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23, KJV
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23, NIV
The Work of Christ
Jesus, the sinless Son of God, took upon Himself the full penalty for our sins through His death and rose again for our justification.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8, KJV
“He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
— Romans 4:25, NIV
The Way of Receiving
Salvation is received by repenting of sin and placing faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9, KJV
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
— Romans 10:13, NIV
The Security of Salvation
Those who are truly saved are sealed by the Holy Spirit and kept by the power of God, though they are called to continue in faith and obedience.
“Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.”
— Ephesians 1:13, NIV
“Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
— 1 Peter 1:5, KJV
