Grace — The Unmerited Favor of God
We believe that grace is the foundation of the gospel, the undeserved kindness of God extended to humanity.
We believe that grace is the unearned and unshakable favor of God, revealed most fully in Jesus Christ. It saves us, sanctifies us, and strengthens us to live lives pleasing to God—not by our might, but by His Spirit working in us.
It is by grace that we are saved, sustained, and sanctified.
“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
— John 1:17, KJV
Grace in Salvation
Grace is the divine initiative that makes salvation possible. We were spiritually dead, but God, by His grace, made us alive in Christ.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
— Ephesians 2:4–5, NIV
Grace Is Not a License to Sin
While grace justifies the sinner, it does not excuse rebellion. True grace trains us to live godly and holy lives.
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.”
— Titus 2:11–12, NIV
Grace Empowers Transformation
Grace is not passive. It actively works within the believer to will and to do God's good pleasure.
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly... yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:10, KJV
Abundant and Sufficient
There is no limit to God's grace. It is sufficient for every weakness, and it abounds beyond every sin.
“But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.”
— Romans 5:20, KJV
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9, KJV
