1 Who has believed our report, and the arm of YHWH ? upon whom has it been revealed?

2 And he went up like a sapling before him, and like a root from dry ground; no form to him, and no majesty, and we saw him, and no appearance that we should desire him.

3 Despised and forsaken of men, a man of pains and knowing sickness, and like one hiding faces from him ? despised, and we did not reckon him.

4 Surely our sicknesses he carried, and our pains?he bore them; yet we considered him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his wound healing came to us

6 All of us like sheep have wandered; each to his own way we have turned; and YHWH caused to meet in him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; like a sheep to the slaughter he is led, and like a ewe before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

8 From oppression and from judgment he was taken, and his generation ? who shall speak of it? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people, a blow was to them.

9 And he gave his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his deaths, because he had done no violence, nor was deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet YHWH delighted to crush him; he made him sick. If you place his soul as a guilt offering, he shall see offspring, he shall prolong days, and the will of YHWH shall succeed in his hand.

11 From the toil of his soul he will see ? he will be satisfied; by his knowledge, my righteous servant shall justify the many, and their iniquities he will bear.

12 Therefore I will divide to him among the many, and with the strong he shall divide spoil, because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the transgressors.
